Garage sale a success

Image
Last weekend's Neighborhood Yard Sale was a success, said Ellie Himes, one of the Board members of the Lake Sarasota Community Group who worked to organize the sale and produce a list of LS residences that participated in the sale.

Himes estimated at least 200 lists of homes were handed out, most to folks coming in from outside the community.

Those who signed on for the $2 donation to be on the list of homes can bring or send it to 7108 Java Drive. Thank you!

It's all on Nextdoor, a web-based way to communicate within a community - some other nearby communities have been using it with success.

Here's a link - put in your address and join - you might find it to your liking -

ReZoning Approved by the County

A re-zoning long sought by the owners of the Bee Ridge Park of Commerce (BRPOC) was approved Tuesday by the Sarasota County Commission. Once signed and recorded, it is legally binding upon the developer. The Commission made the rezoning approval contingent upon the signing and recording of the Declaration.

A copy of the final document can be downloaded here. In addition, the developer stipulated that no space wi…
