Sheriff's Dept. Report for December
As always, Ted obtained the monthly Sheriff's report and analyzed the data for us. Since we did not have a monthly meeting where this information would be presented, it's posted below. The next scheduled meeting is Thursday, March 10.
The indication that the incidence of burglaries was up for the month (10 reported thefts) is consisted with the Sheriff's report on crime countywide.
As always, volunteers are needed for Citizen's Patrol. Contact Ted at 941 379-0758.

The significant difference in the December incident pattern compared to previous months is the concentration of activity in the last week of the month. Possible explanations here are Holiday vacations with students home from school, and parcels left on car seats in plain sight.
We have no volunteers so far for patrols in January. I'll have to send out some E-mails and make some phone calls.
