Bee Ridge is nearly complete - the paving is mostly done - striping to come, and additional trees at Golf Course Blvd and Iona. Use caution at roundabouts. After striping is done, barrels will be lifted and road will be open to two-lane flow in both directions. A reminder that the Grand Opening Celebration is Nov. 28th, 2 pm at the Colonial Oaks Baptist Church (at Golf Course Blvd) parking area. Snacks and beverages will be on hand.

Sheriff's office hosts communications job fair The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office will host a job fair to recruit communications operators (9-1-1) for the Emergency Operations Bureau. The job fair will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 , from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. , at the Sarasota County Emergency Operations Center, located at 6050 Porter Way, Sarasota.
