Bumpy Lake Sarasota Streets to be paved

Many of the road surfaces on Lake Sarasota's streets have been milled to make them ready for resurfacing.

According to the County,
Preferred Materials will be back tomorrow to start paving. They will be in the neighborhood for the next 2 weeks and then the roads should look great.

The county only said it would be paving roads that have been milled.

Water Moccasin or Water Snake?

At the Lakeview Park Clean-Up, some residents were picking up some branches of a tree when a dangerous Water Moccasin slithered out and dashed into the water. It might be useful to know one when you see it, but the differences between the venomous Florida Water Moccasin (or Cottonmouth) and the wholly harmless Water Snake can be subtle.
