Neighborhood Activist to Speak

An email from Jane Grogg to Lake Sarasota residents:

Dear Lake Sarasota Residents & Property Owners,

Hopefully you've already seen one of the many announcements about next week's presentation by John McKnight, an expert on neighborhood association building. I am hoping you might attend and help encourage others in Lake Sarasota to attend one of his two sessions to both learn about his experiences and to discuss how your neighborhoods might advance to a greater level of association development.

McKnight often talks about the significance of counting on what talents you have within your neighborhood to make a difference, much like what you're creating in Lake Sarasota. His messages are inspirational and real examples of what can be done to accomplish great things in neighborhoods. I highly encourage Lake Sarasota citizens and other neighborhood representatives to attend, as these principles are the foundation to building great neighborhoods.

Please select from one of the two following sessions and RSVP to SCOPE at 365-8751:
  • Tuesday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m. - Manatee Community College South Campus, Selby Community Room in the Professional Development Center/Building 800, located at 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice; or
  • Wednesday, May 31 at 6:30 p.m. - Selby Library, 1331 First Street, Sarasota.
We hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity and meet other neighborhood leaders from around the community.

Thank you,
Jane
