Folks can decide their hours, but normally customers are here by 8 a.m. and traffic dies down by 2 p.m. We do not have maps. The sale will be advertised. Participating homes might wish to put some balloons or something on their mailboxes to catch the eye.

A new entrance sign has been built and installation is expected in the near future at Mauna Loa and Bee Ridge. In other news, at the Sept. 6th Lake Sarasota meeting, a few plans were set in motion: 1. A new flag and a solar light for it are in the works. 2. A Community Garage Sale date has been set for Saturday, Nov. 19th. 3. The Lake Sarasota Fall Festival is set for Nov. 5. We welcome all who wish to help plan and set up for the event, which will be at the pavilion in Lakeview Park. A meeting specifically to organize the festival is set for Thursday, Sept. 29. More to come on all the above.

Lake Sarasotans are organizing another Community Garage Sale for Saturday,   March 7th, 8 a.m. to 1 pm.  If you wish to help with the advertising expenses, call Joanna at 941 371-1101. Also, the next Lake Sarasota Community meeting is Thursday, March 12, 7 pm at Sarasota Alliance Church.
