Most Sarasota County Government offices, including the Sarasota County Department of Health, will be closed Monday, Jan. 16, for the national observance celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther 
King Jr.
As electric vehicle use becomes increasingly popular, Sarasota County Government is launching a program to boost the number of charging stations across the county, with two workshops planned to provide program details.
The Sarasota County Department of Health and the Community Health Centers of Sarasota County remind families of males and females, starting at age nine, about the importance of getting the cancer prevention Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination. 
The popular Winter Arts and Crafts Show returns for the fifth year to the Englewood Sports Complex on Saturday, Jan. 21
Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner is accepting applications for a scholarship to be awarded by the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections this year. 
The Sarasota County Department of Health will provide no-cost health screenings and referrals for general health and wellness during January.
The deadline for enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace for coverage this year is Jan. 31.
