Sarasota County will host a series of meetings to present proposed updates to its fire assessments, which are charges imposed against real property to fund the fire services provided to citizens.
Sarasota County's Department of Health will provide no-cost health screenings and referrals for general health and wellness during August. 
Early-bird registration is now open for Sarasota County's 12th annual Sustainable Communities Workshop on Nov. 30, a day-long event that showcases steps to building healthy, resilient, thriving communities. 
Water is essential to our very existence, but we often overlook the importance of protecting and preserving our limited supplies. You can help remedy that through the Florida Water Stewardship Program, offered by Sarasota County UF/IFAS Extension and Sustainability.
