Hurricane V2Sarasota County has issued a Request for Information seeking properties that might be available for a new 911-Emergency Operations Center.
Here are the requirements.

Some county phones going down Oct. 7
phoneTelephone services will be temporarily shut down for several county departments starting at 5 p.m. Friday and extending over the weekend. The shutdown will allow equipment to be moved from the Cattlemen Road Complex to new facilities.
Paddle Palooza Saturday!

Dragon boat, rowing, kayaks, cayuco and stand-up paddleboard in North Port. The event is free, from 9 a.m. -
5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, at Dallas White Park, 5930 Sam Shapos Way. Food, music and fun for the entire family.

Let Sarasota County's Master Gardeners hone your skills at their 7th Annual Plant Sale Oct. 8. Plants for sale include edibles, natives and other Florida-friendly plants donated by local nurseries and growers.

Mobile health services
DoctorThe Sarasota County Health Department's Health In Motion Mobile Medical Unit staff will provide free and low-cost health services at 16 sites around the county during October.
