Sarasota County UF/IFAS Extension and Sustainability and Sarasota County Public Utilities are offering a new course to help residents save water and money in their homes. "Every Drop Counts: Water Conservation Inside Your Home" will help residents understand where their water comes from, how it is treated and specific strategies to reduce water usage in the kitchen, bathrooms, appliances and pool.
Sarasota County Public Utilities announced this week that the 2014 Sarasota County Drinking Water Report is now available online. In an effort to save tax payer's the cost of printing and postage the Public Utility Department has elected to provide the 2014 Consumer Confidence Report electronically. The report details the high quality of Sarasota 
County's water. 
Parents who are looking for healthy activities for their kids this summer can find a great one at the Kids' Summer Beach Runs presented by Sarasota County Parks and Recreation and New Balance Sarasota.
The community has a chance to guide the future of parks, preserves and recreation services in Sarasota County over the next 20 years by participating in an online survey, but the deadline to do so is July 5
