Hecksher Park tennis courts to be resurfaced A tennis court resurfacing project at Hecksher Park in Venice is scheduled to begin next week. The resurfacing is being done in phases to allow three of the six courts to be available for play at any time Volunteers invited to celebrate National Public Lands Day on Sept. 26  Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources is inviting the community to take part in National Public Lands Day through a volunteer event at Woodmere Park in Venice on Sept. 26.
